Well, if you watch football, you've seen these...1000 times. I still think they do a good job. It was pretty cool when Edward Norton signed on to do the VO.
How do you make a tiny mobile game feel like the next Oscar winning blockbuster? S*#t-tons of money, locations from New Zealand to Romania, a few celebrities like Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Aaron Eckhart and Chinese superstar Fan Bingbing and then top it off with some more money. Easy breezy.
Role: CD / AD with Mark Krajan
CWs: Luke Zehner, Nick Zacher
ADs: Sinan Dagli, Lydia Dunay
Director: Henry Hobson
From 4-9PM, energy demand is high, and less wind and solar power is available. By using less electricity during these hours, you can ensure that your energy is coming from cleaner sources. Here’s a few things we made to convey that point including a Deter-gent, a laundry soap designed to “deter” Californians from doing their laundry from 4-9pm when less clean energy is available. We sent a special version of the canister to influencers that self-locked between the hours of 4 and 9pm.
I redesigned Powerbar’s brand aesthetic to give it a more youthful and contemporary feel. Below are some examples of the logo, packaging and the brand book I updated. The change proved to be too much for the client so they kept the existing look and feel. But, I liked it, so here ya go.
Amazon Fresh is an online and physical grocery store offering low prices in an upscale environment. We were asked to create a campaign for launching the new store locations while featuring the fresh wholesome foods now available from Amazon. We embraced bold colors, mouthwatering photography and clever language to make it come to life.
Energy Upgrade California is a statewide initiative committed to uniting Californians to strive toward reaching our state’s energy goals. Here’s a look at the brand that we helped craft over the last few years.
T-Mobile came to us with very little time to produce a spot for the Super Bowl. My partner Mark Krajan and I brought an idea to the table. What does a big name NFL star that's been out of the game for a few months do with his time? Everything!
Tim Tebow is a nice guy. A really, really nice guy. And a great athlete, he just can't seem to find a team that needs his skill set (pulling for him to make a roster again). Anyways, it was one of his first efforts as an actor. We think he did a pretty good job. Did I mention he was nice?
Directed by Stacy Wall.
Since 1956 Shaklee has been a distributor of natural nutrition supplements, weight-management, beauty, and household products. I was tasked with refreshing the brand that hadn’t renewed itself in decades. From logo to packaging to video to website, Shaklee has a whole new image.
NOT NORMAL. It kind of typifies what MINI has always been about. We came up with this global branding effort which of course had to translate into many languages and cultures. A tough task but here are few samples.
Enigmatic director Ralf Schmerberg did an amazing job on the brand film.
We put this video together while pitching the FootJoy business and surprise, surprise…we won. Subsequently we went on to produce work for the #1 Shoe in Golf for years to come. Below that are some of the other things we made for Team FJ.
With Luke Zehner and Tom Coates
Our truck served delicious food from Top Chef winner Brooke Williamson to show when clean energy is available through the metaphor of tacos.
Between 4-9pm, we swapped out our food truck for an expensive and bland one (food included) because that’s when Californians pay more for using dirty energy.
The Roadster is a sexy little car. So what better way to get the word out? A pop-up peep show. It had lasers, neon, smoke, music and The Roadster. Only the car was objectified but oddly, some people still complained. It was followed by some other print, installations and digital that ran on Playboy. You can see it all below.
This is a small campaign used to promote the John Cooper Works line of MINI vehicles. We used the GP car, it's top of the line performance vehicle.

Merry Creesmus from Moxcat!
Josh Luetz, my partner on this project is the true genius behind Moxcat, but the actor we found took it to the next level...he was awesome. These films played in movie theaters and online for the holidays.
Directed by Steve Miller at Radical Media.
The Countryman is the bigger MINI, it was fun to think big for a change.
I've worked with a few celebrities, Shatner was one of my favorites to meet. He is really funny and loves to get involved with the creative and work through the script. He is a very collaborative guy...until he decides he doesn't want to collaborate any more.
I've included a few spots that he and Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco did with us.
I’m also a designer and I’ve recently started a business with my girlfriend Bethany Valoe in Healdsburg CA, called Local Design Co. We are a small but feisty shop willing to take on your smallest (free) to largest jobs. Here’s a sampling of some designy stuff, for more see the site.

As a rabid sports fan and (East) Bay Area native, I’m fiercely devoted to all three of our home teams: the Raiders, Warriors and A’s. I thought it’d be a fun design exercise to create a “super logo” representing all three. It took a bit of working, but when I was done, I had something I loved... so I decided to do the same for other devoted hometown fans. Hope you enjoy these mash-ups as much as I did making them. Oh, and sadly, two of my three teams have since left town, but I remain steadfast in my loyalty.
